Achievement is generally the result of prior encouragement and the will of the person to succeed or participate. To recognize this achievement serves to further engage that person for future endeavors. Donors of resources and time need to be shown lasting thanks for their contributions. Many donors will move from one category to a higher level when visible recognition is utilized. And last but not least, it lays the groundwork for future donations. Also, remember to recognize the small donors as they may be the future larger donors.
